Steve Giusto

Steve was previously President of Apollo Education Services, (AES), a division of the Apollo Education Group (APOL), a position he assumed in 2011. AES provided educational services and online technology to universities aimed at increasing access to their educational programs while improving learning outcomes. In this role, Mr. Giusto was also responsible for the Institute of Professional Development (IPD). IPD was formed in 1978 and provides adult educational services to client universities throughout the United States.

Prior to his management role, Steve was a member of the board of directors of Apollo Education Group and a member of the Audit Committee since 2009. He was also appointed as Chair of the Independent Panel upon its formation.  Apollo is the largest for profit education company in the world; its primary operating entity is the University of Phoenix.

From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Giusto was Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Korn Ferry International and was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Korn Ferry, a leading executive search firm. Before joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Giusto was a Founder, Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Resources Connection, Inc., a global professional services firm, which was founded in 1995, spun out of Deloitte & Touche in 1999 and taken public in 2000. Mr. Giusto began his career at Deloitte & Touche where he spent 13 years and was admitted as a partner in 1996.

Mr. Giusto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a Certified Public Accountant. He was named the Orfalea School of Business Honored Alumnus in 2005 and was a member of their Dean’s Advisory Council. He is a member of the Board of Directors and chair of the audit committee for New Koosharem Corporation, the parent of Select Staffing, one of the largest commercial staffing companies in the United States.  He is also a member of the board of trustees of Cate School, a college preparatory boarding school in Carpinteria, California.
